Five Universities and Colleges that offer full scholarships in the US - First Academy

For many getting into a university in the US takes a second spot because of the sometimes expensive tuition fee. But that need not always be the case. This article lists 5 of the many colleges and universities that offer generous scholarships to international students.

Getting into the US is no longer a distant dream. It can be a reality. Check out the following colleges and universities and read up to know more about the scholarships they provide.

1. Eastern Tennessee State University

This public university is well over a 100 years old. Lesser known to Indian students, this fantastic university provides very generous scholarships to students that get admitted. The best part is that all students who apply to this university are automatically considered for scholarship. There is no separate form that one needs to fill!

The scholarships are available for both Graduate and Undergraduate students.

2. Michigan State University

Does a university as good as MSU offer any scholarships at all? Yes. And why does it do that? For that we say, do not look a gift horse in the mouth! While the scholarships are limited and they might not cover the full cost of the your programme, the fact that there are scholarships at all in the first place should be fantastic news and it is!

Unlike ETSU the eligibility is not automatic. You will need to talk to your academic department to be considered for funding.

3. Oregon State University

Did you know that OSU gives away scholarships worth over a MILLION US Dollars each year? Did you know that it does so for international students? Anywhere between 30 and 40 scholarships are awarded each year. Each scholarship can range from $7500 to $30000! The applications to the scholarship programme are currently closed. But when they do open, so do the floodgates of funding!

4. Concordia College

This Minnesota based college is pretty generous and encourages international applicants by providing them with chances to get some pretty enticing scholarships. International Excellence Scholarships are competitive, merit-based scholarships that are awarded to international first-year students or transfer students for up to four years. Current scholarships can go as high as $25,000 per year for students during the 2019-20 academic year.

How good is that?

5. Colby Sawyer College

Established in 1837, this college has had a long history of rewarding leadership and academic excellence by providing scholarships. Scholarships range from 15000 dollars to 27500 dollars. And the best part is the scholarships are given out yearly. If your excellent academic performance continues, so will your scholarship. And if you do not get a scholarship at first, you always have a chance for getting one the year after.

If you want to apply to any of these universities or other top universities, fill this form and get on your way to a fully funded programme in the USA!
