1. Blemish:

A mark, flaw, stain or defect that spoils the appearance of something.
Sentence: This facewash promises to clear all the blemishes.
Sentence: His failure in mathematics is the only blemish in his academic record.

2. Colossal:

Something very big in size, amount, degree, or power; immense.
Sentence: The new mall is colossal.
Sentence: He had to pay a colossal amount of money to buy the property.
Sentence: The virus had a colossal effect on the Indian economy.

3. Conscious:

Being aware of what is happening around you; having knowledge of something.
Sentence: People are generally not conscious about how frequently they litter.
Sentence: He made a conscious decision to quit smoking.

4. Discipline:

To make sure rules are obeyed. Could also mean a branch of knowledge
Sentence: The principal made sure there is discipline in the class.
Sentence: There was no discipline in the class.
Sentence: Physics is my major discipline.

5. Gingerly:

Being very careful and cautious.
Sentence: He drove the car gingerly because the road had many potholes.
Sentence: She cleaned the floor gingerly because there were a lot of broken pieces of glass.

6. Infringe:

to occupy someone's time or space or rights; to go against.
Sentence: The additional meetings infringed upon his free time.
Sentence: The constant phone calls infringed on his focus.
Sentence: We can do anything as long as it does not infringe on the happiness of others.

7. Mediocre:

Not good enough; ordinary. Of average quality.
Sentence: The team that was selected was mediocre. It got eliminated in the first round.
Sentence: If you write a mediocre essay for a top university, you might not get admitted.

8. Ominous:

Suggesting that something bad is going to happen; threatening.
Sentence: The dark clouds and lightning were ominous signs of storm.
Sentence: The wife gave an ominous look, and the husband immediately stopped speaking.

9. Protrude:

To extend; pop out of something. Similar to jut.
Sentence: She rested her hands on her protruding tummy.
Sentence: The large roll of paper protruded out of his bag.

10. Sheepish:

Embarrassment or shame on doing something foolish or silly
Sentence: My dad gave a sheepish smile after my mum caught him stealing her chocolates.
Sentence: Despite warning him not to walk fast, he started running. When he fell, he got up sheepishly smiling.

11. Stricken:

Suffering severely from disease, bad luck, fear, or sorrow. Struck or wounded by something.
Sentence: All the children in the house were stricken with fever.
Sentence: I was stricken to learn that I had to spend the night alone in the dark forest.
Sentence: His chest felt tight and stricken with pain.

12. Stupendous:

Very impressive, large or surprising. Extremely great.
Sentence: Both the companies earned stupendous profits.
Sentence: He did a stupendous job of training the sales team. He got a huge bonus for this.

13. Whim:

A sudden desire for something fanciful or naughty or unusual
Sentence: He bought a car on a whim, he grumbled about paying the installments later.
Sentence: He decided to get married on a whim, he regretted the decision later.
Sentence: He had a lot of money, so decided to go on a world tour on a whim.
