3. Curt

brief and to the point

Sentence: He did not waste words, he made a short curt speech and left the stage.

Sentence: Because of his curt manner, people thought he was short tempered.

4. Dormant

Sleeping; inactive; at rest.

Sentence: Some viruses can lie dormant for years before they become active.

Sentence: There are many dormant volcanoes on our planet.

5. Dubious

doubtful, suspicious; not convincing.

Sentence: The product was cheap, and looked dubious.

Sentence: His certificates looked dubious.

Sentence: He gave me a dubious look before accepting my offer.

6. Falter

hesitate; be unsteady; look ready to fail;

Sentence: When the strict teacher walked into the class, the smiles of the students faltered.

Sentence: The moment the questions started getting difficult, the students confidence faltered.

Sentence: His voice faltered when he was talking about the death of his friends.

7. Lament

Sentence: Even after he failed, his attempts to pass the exam were relentless.

Sentence: In sales jobs, there is relentless pressure to achieve targets.

Sentence: The rain seemed so relentless that we thought it would never stop.

12. Sociable

friendly; extroverted

Sentence: When I first met him, he had a sociable smile on his face.

Sentence: All the people at work are sociable. It makes it easy for a new-comer to adjust here.
